Alford
Golf Club is committed to promoting and encouraging children to play
golf. With the emphasis on fun, it is hoped to engender an enthusiasm
for golf in youngsters which will continue thoughout their lives.
Initiatives such as Tri-Golf and Clubgolf have already started, with
the help of parents, club members, the Golf Foundation and the SGU.
These courses are on-going but require considerable volunteer assistance.
If you feel you can help (no golf experience required) please contact:

Sessions
are normally held in the Dining Hall at Alford School on Thursday
evenings. Each session has a maximum of 20 children using plastic
equipment.
Typically each course lasts for 10 weeks and costs £15, assuming
all spaces are filled.
Approximately 40 volunteers are required over the six week course
and will meet briefly with Graeme Gill our
Child Protection Officer to complete the neccessary disclosure paper
work. Like all other groups, without the help of volunteers these
courses cannot be run. |
